Friday Injury Report

Defensive backs Coby Bryant and Artie Burns are officially out for Sunday's contest versus the Cincinnati Bengals as they are still trying to recover from lower body injuries. Bryant has been suffering from a toe injury while Burns is dealing with a hamstring issue which have prevented them from practicing all week.

The offensive line will most likely be without starting guard Damien Lewis because of an ankle injury that has prevented him from practicing this week. The other starting guard, Phil Haynes, is questionable for Sunday with a calf injury that forced him to exit the team's most recent game. In good news, left tackle Charles Cross is not listed on the game status section of the injury report so he is expected to be available for the first time since Week 1. Cross fully participated in practice on Thursday and Friday.

Like Cross, Geno Smith was left off of game status report so he will be ready to go on Sunday as expected. "Geno had a terrific week," said head coach Pete Carroll when asked about the starting quarterback. "He practiced and did everything the whole time, so he's fine." Smith's backup Drew Lock is officially questionable with an ankle injury.

Two key starters for the Bengals are officially questionable for the matchup with Seattle. Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie was limited in today's practice with a back injury while star receiver Tee Higgins fully participated despite dealing with a ribs injury.

Thursday Injury Report

The Seahawks had a couple of new players miss practice on Thursday afternoon due to injuries. Drew Lock missed practice with an ankle injury and linebacker Jordyn Brooks was held out for rest. The team has regularly given Brooks a day of rest as he suffered a knee injury at the end of the 2022 season. Despite the injury, Brooks has played in every game this season without suffering any setbacks.

The rest of players that didn't practice on Thursday include guard Damien Lewis (ankle), wide receiver DK Metcalf (ribs), cornerback/safety Coby Bryant (toe) and cornerback Artie Burns (hamstring) who all missed Wednesday's practice as well. Metcalf has been held out for precautionary reasons and will play on Sunday.

Jamal Adams was fully cleared from concussion protocol and was taken off of the injury report, ensuring that he will be available against the Bengals.

The health of the offensive line is improving as left tackle Charles Cross fully participated in practice for the first time since Week 1. The second-year tackle has been dealing with a toe injury since the season opener but is progressing towards making his return. Guard Phil Haynes practiced in a limited capacity for the second consecutive day.

Geno Smith and Jarran Reed suffered injuries in the team's most recent win but fully participated in practice both days this week so they should be available on Sunday in Cincinnati.

Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins was limited in practice on Thursday and starting cornerback Chidobe Awuzie was back at practice in a limited capacity after missing Wednesday's practice.

Wednesday Injury Report

The Seahawks return to action this week coming out of their bye week and will travel to Cincinnati to take on the 2-3 Bengals on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Click here to learn how to watch, listen, and stream the action.

The team used the bye week to their full advantage as the injury report has trimmed down compared to previous weeks. Wide receiver DK Metcalf was held out of practice on Wednesday afternoon as he has been dealing with a rib injury since the Week 2 victory in Detroit. Metcalf has been held out practice regularly since suffering the ribs injury for precautionary reasons but has been available in every game this season and this week should be no different.

Cornerbacks Coby Bryant (toe) and Artie Burns (hamstring) are still dealing with their injuries coming out of the bye week and may need some more time to get back. "They're both trying to get back, that's the best I can say. They're not back yet, but they're trying to get their way back. They're not far off though," said head coach Pete Carroll when asked about the defensive backs.

The offensive line has been banged up for most of the season, but they are making progress towards getting healthier. Left tackle Charles Cross has been out since suffering a toe injury in the season opener but returned to practice in a limited capacity on Wednesday. Guard Phil Haynes also returned to practice in a limited capacity as he has been dealing with a calf issue. The other starting guard, Damien Lewis, was held out of practice with an ankle injury.

Jamal Adams' return was cut short as he exited the Monday Night Football matchup with the Giants with a concussion in the first quarter. He has cleared the concussion protocol and was limited in practice on Wednesday. "I'm really excited for him to get back going again," coach Carroll said. "He really had fun in the preparation, and I know he was jacked about being out there, and it just didn't last long enough."

Quarterback Geno Smith exited the Giants game with a knee injury but was able to return after halftime. He fully participated in Wednesday's practice, so the injury should not force him to miss any time barring any setbacks. Also fully participating was nose tackle Jarran Reed who has been dealing with a shin issue since the Week 4 win in primetime.

For the Cincinnati Bengals, they could be getting back their dynamic wide receiver Tee Higgins this week as he was limited in Wednesday's practice after missing their most recent game with a ribs injury.
