DETROIT—The Seahawks will be without starting outside linebacker Boye Mafe and linebacker Devin Bush, both of whom are inactive for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.

Both players were listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, Mafe with a knee injury and Bush with a shoulder injury, and Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said both would be game-day decisions.

Also inactive are three players who were ruled out on Friday, safety Jamal Adams, left tackle Charles Cross and defensive end Mike Morris. The Seahawks will, however, have rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon, who will be making his NFL debut after missing last week's opener due to a hamstring injury.

"He was on fire, he had a blast," Carroll said of the first-round pick's week of practice. "He's been waiting so long to get to this point. He was active, impressive in his coverage, fits, all that stuff, he did everything. He had a really good week… It's going to be really fun to get him out there. He's a really good ball player."

With Cross out and with right tackle Abraham Lucas going on injured reserve this week, the Seahawks are expected to start Stone Forsythe at left tackle and Jake Curhan at right tackle.

"I feel good that Jake and Stone are going to play for us, and the other guys who are ready to go as well at tackle," Carroll said Friday. "Jake played against these guys last time we were there and did a nice job, and Stone's ready to go too. Really, we're impressed with the new guys we brought in, and we'll see how that works out, but they'll give us a good boost. I'm glad these guys are going to answer the call, they know what they're doing."

The Seahawks will have Raiqwon O'Neal active to provide depth at tackle less than a week after he was signed off Tampa Bay's practice squad. As Carroll noted, O'Neal is familiar with Seattle's offense having played in a similar system in Tampa Bay under offensive coordinator Dave Canales, a longtime Seattle assistant before earning that job with the Buccaneers last offseason.

In addition to Witherspoon, three other players who were inactive last week are active, putting them on track to potentially make their Seahawks debuts: outside linebacker Tyreke Smith, guard Anthony Bradford and cornerback Kyu Blu Kelly.

For Detroit, left tackle Taylor Decker is inactive due to an ankle injury.

Here are the inactives for both teams:
