Bradley McDougald Active For Seahawks at Rams, Chris Carson & D.J. Fluker Inactive

The Seahawks will be without two offensive starters when they face the Rams on Sunday.

LOS ANGELES—The Seahawks will be without two offensive starters when they face the Rams on Sunday, with guard D.J. Fluker (calf) and running back Chris Carson (hip) both inactive due to injuries.

Both players left last week's game early due to injuries, and were listed as questionable Friday after not practicing all week.

On a more positive note, the Seahawks will have safety Bradley McDougald (knee), who was also listed as questionable, but who was able to return to practice on a limited basis on Friday. Linebacker K.J. Wright (knee) and defensive tackle Shamar Stephen (foot) are also active. Both were listed as questionable, but Seahawks coach Pete Carroll indicated on Friday that both should be able to go.

With Carson out, the Seahawks will look to Mike Davis, who rushed for 101 yards against the Cardinals when Carson was unable to play in Week 4, and rookie Rashaad Penny, as well as C.J. Prosise. Joey Hunt, who filled in at guard last week when Fluker came out of the game, is inactive, so options to replace Fluker would be Ethan Posic, who opened the year as the starting left guard, or Jordan Simmons, who the Seahawks claimed off waivers prior to the start of the season.

In his interview during the pregame broadcast, Seahawks general manager John Schneider said Simmons had been practicing at that spot this week, implying he will likely get the start. If Simmons does indeed start, he'd be making his first NFL start in the same building where he played his college football for USC.

"We were lucky to be able to claim him at the 53 cut. He's doing a great job, he's got really nice feet, he's a big man—338, 340 pounds—good length, really nice hands," Schneider said. "So everybody has been fired up about him. He had a little bit of a setback with the calf injury, but he has been coming back slowly from that, but now he's back, he had a nice week of practice, and he's ready to go."
