The Seahawks are welcoming back a handful of players who have been out in recent weeks due to injury, including defensive end Ziggy Ansah, who has missed two games with a neck injury, linebacker Mychal Kendricks, who has missed two games with a hamstring injury, and tight end Luke Willson, who has missed four games with a hamstring injury.
Also active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals is linebacker Bobby Wagner, who left last week's game with an ankle injury.
The Seahawks will, however, be playing without four starters due to injury, as defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (core), safety Quandre Diggs (ankle), left tackle Duane Brown (biceps/knee) and cornerback Shaquill Griffin (hamstring) are all inactive.
The Seahawks are hoping the return of Ansah can help bolster a pass rush that didn't have him or Clowney last week, and Seahawks coach Pete Carroll noted that Ansah is coming off of his best week of practice.
"Zig had his best week throughout the whole season," Carroll said Friday. "This was the best week that he put together. He's been working out hard. He's the heaviest and strongest he's been since he's been with us. Everything looks really positive. I'm really fired up for him to have a chance to get back in there and do some good stuff."
Rookie defensive tackle Bryan Mone is active two days after being promoted from the practice squad to replace defensive tackle Al Woods, who was suspended four games by the NFL Friday for a violation of the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Also active is linebacker Dekoda Watson, who signed with the Seahawks earlier in the week.
