ARLINGTON, Texas—The Seahawks hung tough with the Cowboys for four quarters, but ultimately fell short, losing 41-35 in a shootout at AT&T Stadium.
The Seahawks also saw a key player on both sides of the ball exit the game due to injury. Linebacker Jordyn Brooks injured his ankle in the first half and was replaced by Devin Bush, who saw his most extensive playing time on defense of the season.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll didn't give any specifics on the injury after the game, saying only, "Jordyn Brooks got an ankle."
The Seahawks also saw running back Zach Charbonnet exit the game in the fourth quarter due to a knee injury, though early indications were that it was not serious, Carroll said.
"Zach banged his knee on the turf," Carroll said. "It doesn't look like a knee injury, it looks like a bruised knee kind of thing, but both of those guys got where they couldn't get back in the game."
Charbonnet was starting for the second straight week in place of Kenneth Walker III, who was inactive due to an oblique injury. Charbonnet ran for 60 yards on 19 carries, and added 39 receiving yards on a screen pass that set up Seattle's final touchdown of the game.
The Seahawks also welcomed Abraham Lucas back from injured reserve. In his first game since the opener, Lucas started at right tackle, though Jason Peters did get some playing time there as well.
