Following the Seahawks' 12-10 win over the Dolphins in their season opener, head coach Pete Carroll updated the media about the latest injuries surrounding his team.
Russell Wilson sustained an ankle injury after being stepped on by Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh on their first offensive series in the third quarter. Despite that, Wilson didn't miss a snap in the game and re-taped his ankle shortly after on the Seahawks sideline.
"I kept telling guys, 'I'll play on one leg if I have to," Wilson said in his postgame press conference.
Wilson admitted that his ankle is still a little sore, but said after ice, treatment and prayer, he'll be fine.
Carroll said they wanted to limit Wilson's mobility for a period after the injury occurred by keeping him in the pocket.
"We weren't sure what he could do," Carroll said. "We didn't want to tax him too much so we kept him in the pocket more than normal."
Running back C.J. Prosise sprained his wrist, according Carroll. Prosise left the game briefly, but returned to the sidelines with a cast and was available to work special teams.
Tight end Jimmy Graham played in a game for the first time since November after tearing his patellar tendon. Graham played on limited snaps, as expected, and caught his only target for 11 yards.
"It was fantastic to get him back," Carroll said of Graham.
"It was such a big injury, such an extraordinary rehab. I never saw him flinch in doubting that he would make it back, but it was a great accomplishment, and it was very emotional." Carroll said.
Lastly, rookie Germain Ifedi was inactive because of an ankle injury he sustained in last Wednesday's practice. Carroll said they'll see where he is this week.
