What He Said: "Patience is a virtue. It was a long wait, but it was worth it. I'm happy to be a part of the Seahawks organization."
John Schneider: "Clearly, the best run defender in this draft."
Carroll: "He's a great competitor, he's tough as nails, and we're thrilled to get him. He's got a big role, he'll fill the role our tackles have been playing the last few years. He keeps us the same in that regard, that we've got good inside tough guys that can stop the run game."

Seattle made 10 picks in the 2016 NFL Draft. Here's a closer look at the newest Seahawks:
OL Germain Ifedi, Texas A&M | Round 1, No. 31 Overall
Twitter: @GermainX1
Instagram: GermainX2
Seahawks Uniform Number: 76
What He Said: "It's a little bit of a long way, but I don't think I could have landed at a better place than Seattle. You have a great organization."
Tom Cable: "You're talking about a big, big powerful guy with a lot of length. A little bit raw fundamentally, so there's some cleanup to do, but it's an easy fix, I think. But what I liked about him was that if there was an issue, this was a guy who fixed those kind of issues. So he's wired right, he's not about BS, he's about work. Terrific brain on him, I'm very excited… That distance for me to get him where he needs to be I think is rather short."
Pete Carroll: "The way he plays is what was really important, because he's really physical, he likes to get after it, he mixes it up with you, and that style is really at home with us. So we're really excited to add that to our team."

What He Said: "Patience is a virtue. It was a long wait, but it was worth it. I'm happy to be a part of the Seahawks organization."

RB C.J. Prosise, Notre Dame | Round 3, No. 90 Overall
Twitter: @KingPRO20
Instagram: cpro20
Seahawks Uniform Number: 22
What He Said: "I was just at home with all my family and friends. It was the best moment of my life up to this point."
Carroll: "He had a fantastic season, he's a break away, big speed, big time running back, as well as a catcher. We've had our eye on him throughout, we hoped we could get him because we have a very special role that we want to put him in."
Schneider: "His background is not huge at this position. The fact that he took off like he has is pretty rare. There's a lot of things in there when you compare running backs. There's a lot of different running backs, there's different styles and if you can learn to finish those runs, there's a chance that he could be very special."
TE Nick Vannett, Ohio State | Round 3, No. 94 Overall
Twitter: @NVannett81
Instagram: nvannett81
Seahawks Uniform Number: 81
What He Said: "It's just a thrill. I've been waiting for this day since I was little. Every kid has his dream. Towards the end I was thinking you know what, I might get it tomorrow, and then I got that Washington area phone call and I was just excited. Excited to be a part of the Seattle Seahawks, and getting to meet all of the '12' fans out there. They're the best fans in the league, so I'm excited to be a part of the organization."
Carroll: "We were really surprised that we had the shot at him, and fired up that we got the best blocking tight end in the draft this year, without question. The other tight ends may want to argue about that, but we saw it, so we're excited about that."
Schneider: "We've been looking for a true 'Y' for several years now. It's weird, they don't come along very often. So Ohio State, how he developed there, it's kind of a natural progression for this guy. It was great to see how he produced at the Senior Bowl too."
OG Rees Odhiambo, Boise State | Round 3, No. 97 Overall
Twitter: @Reeso71
Instagram: reeso
Seahawks Uniform Number: 70
What He Said: "The feeling is unbelievable. It just felt so surreal because I was just sitting in there making dinner, not even paying attention anymore to the draft. When my phone was ringing, I was like, there's no way. I just picked it up and then once I knew who it was, I was so excited."
Schneider: ""Strength. Strength and flexibility. Tom [Cable] felt, at the end of the day, that Germain [Ifedi] and Rees [Odhiambo] were the strongest guys that he put his hands on throughout the spring. ... [Former Boise State] Coach [Chris] Peterson would tell you he's one of his favorite guys he's had through his program."
Carroll: "He's played tackle and he really fits the formula for being a guard that we're going to give him a shot right there. We'll see what happens. We'll be open to whatever he brings us."
DT Quinton Jefferson, Maryland | Round 5, No. 147 Overall
Twitter: @QJEFF
Instagram: qjeff99
Seahawks Uniform Number: 99
What He Said: "It's great to know that they really wanted me. I can't wait to come to the organization, be in front of the 12s and compete. That's the main thing. I am just so excited."
Schneider: "He's a man. Just a solid individual. Very active. Plays very hard. We didn't see a ton of players like him after that."
Carroll: "He can play like Mike [Bennett] plays in the different spots. He's got the kind of quickness and stuff that gives him that ability to be flexible. He's faster than a lot of guys at his size and he has a sense for getting skinny and getting in the backfield and penetrating. We really will wait to see how far we can take him, knowing that he is a real dedicated and smart kid and all that and maybe we can move him around quite a bit for a young guy."

RB Alex Collins, Arkansas | Round 5, No. 171 Overall
Twitter: @Budda03
Instagram: budda03
Seahawks Uniform Number: 36
What He Said: "I'm pumped up and ready to get in there. Just getting that call, my heart is racing. I couldn't believe it, and I'm very excited."
Schneider: "Alex [Collins] is just a hard charging, quick feet, instinctive. He is one of a few three consecutive 1000-yard SEC runners. The guy just shows up on Saturday and competes his tail off."
C Joey Hunt, TCU | Round 6, No. 215 Overall
Instagram: joeyhunt55
Seahawks Uniform Number: 53
What He Said: "It's something I've dreamed about since I was a kid. It was just an amazing feeling. I'm here with just my family, and they were super pumped. It's something we've been dreaming about."
Schneider: "Again, very squared away, solid individual. Smart. Lines everybody up, makes all the calls. A little bit undersized, but he plays real square, plays real tight. For an undersized guy, you don't see him get knocked around a ton."
Carroll: "What is really special about Joey is he has such command. He really sees the line of scrimmage and can make all the calls, and so we know we're bringing in a guy that can captain the offensive line if he's able to take that spot over, and that's a really big plus."
WR Kenny Lawler, California | Round 7, No. 243 Overall
Twitter: @KLaw2nice
Instagram: bigplaylaw
Seahawks Uniform Number: 11
What He Said: "When Mr. Schneider said that he was going to pick me, man my heart just dropped, and tears came down my eyes and it was an unbelievable experience right then and there."
Schneider: "His hands, arguably the best hands in the draft. Red zone, adjusting to the ball, his body control. Outstanding. Real long arms. He's a leaner guy that didn't run especially fast, that's why he slid."
Carroll: "He's been a really exciting player as you get down in the red zone and get down in tight, because he has that great catching range."
RB Zac Brooks, Clemson | Round 7, No. 247 Overall
Twitter: @Z24Brooks
Instagram: 2rayshod4
Seahawks Uniform Number: 30
What He Said: ""When I hear Seahawks, man, they've been winning. That's a winning program. Since my visit, I see why. There's a lot of energy there, there's a lot of positive vibes. The coach has everybody on the same page and the atmosphere is amazing."
Schneider: "Zac [Brooks] is right up our alley. He is just a highly competitive, squared away guy that was the most highly recruited receiver coming out of Arkansas, then chose to go to Clemson because they were the only school that was going to play him at halfback. He had a little rough luck early on, but every opportunity he got, he took full advantage of it. When you're a runner, and you know you might not get that opportunity to carry it again, you're going to let it rip, and he did that."
