The best photos from the Seahawks' Thursday practice at Virginia Mason Athletic Center in preparation for Sunday's Game against the Houston Texans.
Seattle had five players who did not participate in Thursday's practice. The number was down from yesterday’s seven Seahawks who were sidelined, with Thursday's list again including center Justin Britt (ankle), left guard Luke Joeckel (knee), running back C.J. Prosise (ankle), defensive end Michael Bennett (heel), and free safety Earl Thomas (knee).
The coaching staff has said it should know more on Britt's status later this week, so expect more information about his gameday availability to become available when head coach Pete Carroll meets with the media following Friday's practice. Thomas, meanwhile, is expected to be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans despite sitting out for two days to start the week.
"He should be," defensive coordinator Kris Richard said following Thursday's practice. "That's E.T. He's going to be ready to go."
Defensive end Marcus Smith (ankle) and offensive lineman Matt Tobin (illness) returned to practice in limited fashion Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. Cornerback Jeremy Lane, who's missed the past two games to injury, fully participated Wednesday but was listed as limited Thursday, with a finger injury showing up on Thursday's report in addition to the groin that has bothered him in recent weeks.
