Thursday Practice Report: Shaquill Griffin & Jadeveon Clowney Remain On Track To Play; Four Seahawks Held Out

Details on Thursday’s practice report ahead of the Seahawks’ Week 17 game against the 49ers.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said early in the week that he is hoping to get two key defensive players back from injury, and with Jadeveon Clowney and Shaquill Griffin practicing again Thursday, it appears those two are indeed on track to play when the Seahawks host the 49ers on Sunday.

Clowney, who has missed the past two games with a core injury, was limited Thursday, but said prior to practice “there’s no way I’m not playing.” Griffin, who has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, was a full participant in practice.

Not practicing Thursday were Duane Brown, who had knee surgery Monday and will not be available this week, receiver Malik Turner (concussion), guard Mike Iupati (neck) and safety Quandre Diggs (ankle).

Clowney was one of five players who was limited along with center Joey Hunt (fibula), tackle Germain Ifedi (knee), guard Ethan Pocic (core) and tackle Jamarco Jones (shoulder).
