The Seahawks will play a second straight game without outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu when they travel to New England for a Week 2 game against the Patriots.
Nwosu is still making his way back from a knee injury sustained in Seattle's final preseason game, and on Wednesday, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Nwosu will not be back on the field this week.
Tight end Pharaoh Brown, who also missed the opener, is pushing to get back from the foot injury he suffered during joint practices in Tennessee, and is hoping to play at New England after spending the 2023 season with the Patriots.
"Pharaoh, with the connection to New England, he really wants to play," Macdonald said. "So we'll see where Pharaoh ends up by the end of the week."
As for the two players injured in Seattle's season-opening win, running back Kenneth Walker III (oblique) and tackle George Fant (knee), Macdonald said it's too early in the week to know about their availability for Sunday.
"We're going to see how those guys play out," Macdonald said. "'Chenna will be out this week, but the rest of the guys coming off of last week's game, we'll kind of take day-by-day here with the reports and everything, but 'Chenna will be out."
