Wednesday Practice Report: Punter Jon Ryan Limited For Seahawks

A closer look at Wednesday's practice report for the Seahawks and Cardinals ahead of their Week 16 game at CenturyLink Field.

Look through the best photos from the Seahawks Wednesday practice as the team prepares to take on the Arizona Cardinals for their final home game of the regular season on Saturday.

After leaving last Thursday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams with a concussion, Seahawks punter Jon Ryan was a limited participant during Wednesday afternoon's practice at Virginia Mason Athletic Center, as Seattle readies for its final home game of the regular season on Christmas Eve against the Arizona Cardinals.

When Pete Carroll met with the media on Tuesday, he said Ryan remains in the concussion protocol, but noted, "He's with us and in meetings and stuff like that and doing fine with all of that, but he's still got to get through it." Carroll added that he does not anticipate the Seahawks will have to sign another punter this week, stating, "No, I don't, but we're ready." More on Ryan's status should become known as the practice week rolls on and Carroll meets with the media again after Thursday's practice.

Defensive end Michael Bennett (neck), meanwhile, who also left last week's game with an injury, did not participate in practice on Wednesday. Carroll said Bennett took part in Tuesday's walk thru and is "doing all right," but that the Seahawks will "take care of him during the week to make sure he's good and ready to play."

The only other players on Wednesday's practice report for Seattle were running back C.J. Prosise (shoulder), who has a chance to be in "pretty good shape" in a couple weeks, Carroll said Tuesday, and linebacker Brock Coyle (foot), who was a full participant Wednesday and is expected to make it back this week after missing the past four games.
