Seven Seattle players were sidelined with injuries as the Seahawks kicked off their work week ahead of a Week 7 home matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. The team's DNP-list Wednesday included tight end Will Dissly (Achilles), whose setback is expected to be season-ending with the second-year pro scheduled for surgery Thursday, according to Carroll. Also held out Wednesday were tackle Duane Brown (biceps), guard D.J. Fluker (hamstring), safeties Lano Hill (elbow) and Bradley McDougald (back), linebacker K.J. Wright (knee), and defensive end Ziggy Ansah (ankle).
Brown, who missed this past week's win over Cleveland, "was not able to go through walk-thru yet," Carroll said. Fluker, meanwhile, did go through walk-thru Wednesday but remains day-to-day after also missing this past weekend's game to injury.
"I'll know more here when we see how he can handle it," Carroll said of Fluker. "We're day to day. I can't tell you nothing. We won't know anything until Friday at the earliest."
Three others, including last year's starting defensive tackle Jarran Reed as well as rookie offensive lineman Phil Haynes and rookie defensive lineman Demarcus Christmas, also practiced Wednesday. Reed is returning from a six-game suspension, while Haynes and Christmas returned to practice but still remain on the team's physically unable to perform (PUP) list. At this point, the trio does not count toward the team's 53-man roster and transactions would need to be made before they'd be eligible to play on gamedays.
