Wednesday Practice Report: Seven Seahawks Do Not Participate To Start Week 3

Seven Seahawks players were sidelined to start the team's Week 3 preparation for Sunday's road game against the Tennessee Titans.

The Seahawks were down seven players on the practice field to open Week 3 of the regular season, five of which were sidelined because of injury.

Tight end Jimmy Graham (ankle), left guard Luke Joeckel (knee), linebacker Terence Garvin (shoulder), cornerback Neiko Thorpe (ankle), and linebacker Bobby Wagner (thigh) all nursed setbacks on Wednesday at Renton's Virginia Mason Athletic Center, while defensive end Marcus Smith (illness) and receiver Doug Baldwin (not injury related - personal) also did not participate in the day's workout.

Seattle head coach Pete Carroll went into greater detail on the injuries to Graham, Thorpe, and Garvin, as well as Baldwin's absence, prior to the start of practice during his press conference, which you can catch up on right here.

Receiver Paul Richardson (finger), who dislocated a finger in this past Sunday's win over the 49ers, was a full participant Wednesday, as was cornerback Richard Sherman (hamstring), who missed two days of practice to start last week.

The Titans, meanwhile, were minus four players during Wednesday's session, including starting running back DeMarco Murray (hamstring), who's day-to-day this week, according to the team's website. Receiver Corey Davis (hamstring) and safety Johnathan Cyprien (hamstring) were each held out of practice Wednesday and have been ruled out for Sunday's game, TitansOnline.com reports.
