Wednesday Practice Report: Six Players Sidelined For Seahawks

Six Seahawks players were held from Wednesday's practice at Virginia Mason Athletic Center ahead of the team's Week 2 road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Seahawks opened their second practice week of the regular season with six players on the sideline.

Centers Joey Hunt (ankle) and Justin Britt (knee), defensive tackle Poona Ford (calf), safety Tedric Thompson (hamstring), cornerback Neiko Thorpe (hamstring), and receiver Tyler Lockett (back) were all sidelined Wednesday. Before practice, head coach Pete Carroll offered updates on Hunt, Ford, Thorpe, and Britt, which you can read all the details about right here.

The list of limited participants for the Seahawks Wednesday included guard Mike Iupati (foot), receiver David Moore (shoulder), safety Ugo Amadi (shoulder), as well as defensive ends L.J. Collier (ankle), Ziggy Ansah (shoulder), and Jadeveon Clowney (not injury related). Earlier Wednesday, Carroll also had insight on the injury status of Iupati, Amadi, Collier, and Ansah.
