Saturday's Injury Report

The Seahawks ruled two players out ahead of Monday night's opener against Denver: outside linebacker Alton Robinson, who injured his knee in Seattle's preseason finale, and long snapper Tyler Ott, who has a shoulder injury.

With Ott out, the Seahawks will need to add a long snapper, and presumably that would be Carson Tinker, who signed to the practice squad earlier in the week.

Starting left guard Damien Lewis, who is trying to make it back from the ankle injury he suffered in the second preseason game, is listed as questionable, as is rookie running back Kenneth Walker III, who is trying make it back from a hernia procedure.

For the Broncos, starting inside linebacker Josey Jewell is doubtful with a calf injury, while three players are listed as questionable, all of whom were limited in practice Saturday: outside linebacker Randy Gregory (shoulder/knee), receiver KJ Hamler (knee/hip) and right tackle Billy Turner (knee).

Friday's Injury Report

With a long gap between their final preseason game and Monday's opener, the Seahawks have a spread out practice schedule this week, meaning Friday's practice was actually limited to a walkthrough, then the team will get back to work Saturday for their usual "No Repeat Friday" practice. As such, Friday's practice report is an estimation of participation had the team held a full practice, and on a positive note, four players went from limited on Thursday to full participation on Friday.

Cornerback Sidney Jones IV (concussion), tackle Jake Curhan (elbow), outside linebacker Boye Mafe (shoulder), and safety Ryan Neal (ankle) were all listed as full after being limited, a good indicator that all are trending in the right direction for playing on Monday. Guard Damien Lewis, meanwhile, remains limited with the ankle injury he suffered in Seattle's second preseason game.

Four players sat out for the second straight day: running back Kenneth Walker III (hernia), long snapper Tyler Ott (shoulder), cornerback Artie Burns (groin) and outside linebacker Alton Robinson (knee). With Ott sidelined, the Seahawks did add long snapper Carson Tinker to the practice squad, giving them a potential replacement they could elevate for the game should the injury be significant enough to keep Ott out.

Thursday's Injury Report

The Seahawks were back in action after players enjoyed a day off Wednesday, a "Turnover Thursday" practice at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center that saw all but four players take part in practice.

Sitting out were running back Kenneth Walker III (hernia), long snapper Tyler Ott (shoulder), cornerback Artie Burns (groin) and outside linebacker Alton Robinson (knee).

Of that group, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Robinson, who injured his knee in Seattle's preseason finale, will not be ready to go for the opener, while the status is still uncertain on the other players. Carroll was not asked about Ott, whose injury was not publicly known before practice, while of Walker, Carroll said, "He looked good running yesterday, and he was in walkthrough today. Seeing him workout close to a full-tilt yesterday, he reminds of the kind of athlete that he is. He's very, very explosive. Whether he makes it in time for gametime, the next couple days will tell us some more so I don't know. It's really important that we get him back and he stays back once we get him. In an usual recovery we just have to respect it, but he looked great."

Starting left guard Damien Lewis, who injured his ankle and was carted off the field during Seattle's second preseason game, continues to make progress and was limited in practice, but his status for Monday is still up in the air.

"Damien Lewis went through the walk through today and looked pretty good," Carroll said. "I don't know, we have to see."

Carroll said rookie outside linebacker Boye Mafe, "looks to be fine" heading into the practice week, though he was listed as limited with a shoulder injury.
