The Seahawks get set to take on the San Francisco 49ers in a pivotal division matchup on Thanksgiving night at Lumen Field.
Wednesday Injury Report
The Seahawks held their final walkthrough of the week in advance of their Thanksgiving matchup with the 49ers and had good news on a handful of key players. Geno Smith is listed as questionable for Thursday, but head coach Pete Carroll is confident that he will be available. "His attitude has been right on it the whole time. He hasn't missed a snap. We didn't let him throw the first couple of days, but he didn't miss a snap, so he was doing everything. He's ready to go," said coach Carroll on Wednesday afternoon. Jamal Adams was held out of the Week 11 contest versus the Rams but will play on Thursday against the 49ers. Similarly, defensive backs Riq Woolen, Tre Brown and Coby Bryant were all not given game status designations so they will be available to play.
The only player that has been declared out for Week 12 is rookie safety Jerrick Reed II who suffered an ACL injury against the Rams. Despite the injury, Reed isn't showing any signs of it. "I'm afraid he's going to have to have surgery, but you would never know by looking at him around here," said coach Carroll.
Second year offensive players Kenneth Walker III and Dareke Young are listed as doubtful for Thursday night. Kenneth Walker III exited the Rams game with an oblique injury and never returned. "Kenny's not going to make it. We left it as doubtful because you never know… but he wasn't able to do anything during the week," said coach Carroll.
Abraham Lucas is the one player other than Geno Smith that is questionable for Thanksgiving. He was able to fully participate this week and has a really good chance of making it back for the trip to Dallas next Thursday according to Coach Carroll.
The 49ers only have four players with a game status designation and all four are listed as questionable. Javon Hargrave was limited in the first couple of day of the week but fully participated on Wednesday and was not given a game status designation so he will play in Seattle.

Tuesday Injury Report
The Seahawks held a walkthrough on Tuesday afternoon and had some good news regarding their quarterback. Geno Smith participated in a limited capacity as he is working relentlessly to make it back in time for the Thanksgiving night matchup with the 49ers. While it is still unknown whether he will play on Thursday, he is making good progress in his recovery. "I definitely feel a little bit better after a couple of days," said Smith on Tuesday afternoon.
Wide receivers DK Metcalf and Dareke Young would not have practiced on Tuesday afternoon due to injuries. Metcalf is dealing with a toe problem while Young was given the non-participant designation for the second consecutive day. Also not participating for the second day in a row was running back Kenneth Walker III who left the Week 11 contest with an oblique injury. His status for Thanksgiving is still up in the air.
Defensive backs Jamal Adams, Tre Brown and Coby Bryant were listed as limited participants on Monday but were full participants for Tuesday's walkthrough. Adams missed the most recent game but is in good shape to make it back in time for Thursday barring any setbacks. Tackle Abraham Lucas was a full participant for each of the past two days which is a positive sign that he is inching closer towards his return to game action.
49ers Guard Aaron Banks was a limited participant on Tuesday afternoon after being held out on Monday due to a toe injury. Standout defensive lineman Javon Hargrave was limited because of a thumb injury for the second day in a row.

Monday Injury Report
The Seahawks did not practice on Monday afternoon following the loss to the Rams but did release an estimated injury report had they practiced. The two most notable injuries from the Rams game were Geno Smith and Kenneth Walker III. Walker exited the game in the first quarter with an oblique strain and would not return while Smith left the game in the 3rd quarter with an elbow injury after taking a hit from Aaron Donald. Smith was able to return for the final drive and led the team down the field for an opportunity for a game winning field goal. As for his status for the Thanksgiving matchup versus the 49ers, the starting quarterback is giving his best effort to return in time for Thursday. "It's going to be a couple of days to make sure that we let him get back and it quiets down," said head coach Pete Carroll when asked about Smith. "There is no structural issue there, but he has a sore elbow this morning. They are doing everything they can to work through that and we'll see how it goes."
As for Kenneth Walker III, he may need more time to get back than Smith. "They just confirmed that he has an oblique strain. Those are the kind of strains where it takes some time to figure out," said coach Carroll. "We have to see how he does in the next couple of days and see what that means. We don't know yet." While they are unsure about his status for Week 12, putting the second year back on injured reserve isn't in consideration at this moment.
Safety Jamal Adams was held out of the Rams game due to pain in his knee, but he would have been limited in the first practice of the week and is trying to return for Thursday. The team is hoping that the next couple of days will give him enough time to get back for the matchup versus the 49ers. A few more key players in the secondary would have been limited in practice as Riq Woolen (shoulder), Tre Brown (foot), and Coby Bryant (toe) were given a limited participation designation. Bryant has spent the past two months on injured reserve due a toe injury but was just designated to return to practice this week.
Tackle Abraham Lucas continues to make progress in making his way back onto the field as he was given a full participant designation on Monday afternoon. Lucas has not played since suffering a knee injury in the season opener against the Rams. His return would give the offense another anchor on the offensive line.
The 49ers aren't dealing with as many injuries as the Seahawks but have two key defenders dealing with issues. All-Pro safety Talanoa Hufanga suffered a torn ACL in the team's win on Sunday which will force him to miss the rest of the season. Hufanga has been one of the defense's top playmakers since being drafted by the team in 2021. Their top free agent acquisition defensive tackle Javon Hargrave would have been limited in practice on Monday had there been one due to a thumb injury.
