Friday Injury Report

The Seahawks have officially ruled out two players for Sunday's contest versus the Cleveland Browns. Rookie running back Kenny McIntosh and nose tackle Austin Faoliu will not play in Week 8 as they are still making their way back from injuries that placed them on the injured reserve and the PUP list respectively. Both players were able to practice this week but will need more time to get ready for game action.

Wide receiver Tyler Lockett and safety Jamal Adams are the only two players that are listed as questionable this week as the two Pro Bowlers having been dealing with injuries. Lockett has been fighting through a hamstring injury for the past couple of weeks that has forced him to miss some practice time but not any game action. Both players practiced without any limitations on Friday afternoon and head coach Pete Carroll expects both players to play on Sunday.

Starting guard Phil Haynes is listed as doubtful for Sunday as he is dealing with a calf injury that has been giving him trouble for the past few weeks. Haynes has been inactive for two games this season and exited another one with the same calf injury. After not practicing all week, Haynes may not be able to make it back in time for Cleveland. "We really took an extra week because it kind of nagged with him, so we took an extra week to get him back," said coach Carroll. "Next week, he should be ready to go."

In good news, after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, linebacker Bobby Wagner and running back Kenneth Walker III will be available on Sunday as they are not listed on the game status report. Both players fully participated in practice on Friday afternoon. Similarly, Damien Lewis and Evan Brown practiced on Friday and will play against Cleveland.

The Browns have four players that are questionable for Week 8 due to injuries, including starting tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. who is dealing with a foot/ankle injury. Also questionable is running back Jerome Ford (ankle), but the team will have Kareem Hunt available who missed Wednesday's practice and was limited in Thursday and Friday's practices.

Thursday Injury Report

The list of players missing practice continues to dwindle as there were only four players who were absent due to injuries. For the second consecutive day, guard Phil Haynes (calf), wide receiver Tyler Lockett (hamstring), running back Kenneth Walker III (calf) and Bobby Wagner (ankle) missed practice. Lockett has been dealing with a hamstring injury since last week but was able to make it through the win over the Cardinals.

After fully practicing on Wednesday, guard Damien Lewis was limited on Thursday as he is dealing with an ankle injury. Jamal Adams was held out of practice on Wednesday for rest and returned to the field on Thursday in a limited capacity.

There were many players who have been dealing with injuries that returned to practice in full capacity on Thursday. Both rookie running backs, Zach Charbonnet and Kenny McIntosh fully practiced on Thursday after being limited to start the week. Also returning to practice without any limitations was center Evan Brown who missed the most recent game with a hip injury. DK Metcalf fully practiced for the second consecutive day which is a positive sign that he could be available for Sunday's matchup with Cleveland.

For the Cleveland Browns, a few of the top offensive weapons returned to practice as running back Kareem Hunt (knee) and TE David Njoku (knee) were limited while receiver Amari Cooper (NIR-Rest/ankle) fully practiced.

Wednesday Injury Report

The Seahawks continue to get healthier as many notable players returned to practice on Wednesday afternoon. DK Metcalf missed last Sunday's game versus the Arizona Cardinals with injuries to his ribs and hip but was able to practice this afternoon in a full capacity. He had been dealing with a ribs injury since Week 2 which he didn't prevent him from missing any game action, but the hip injury he suffered in Cincinnati forced him to miss his first career game. When asked by reporters, Metcalf said that the plan is for him to play on Sunday.

Also returning to practice this week are a couple of rookie running backs that have been dealing with injuries. Zach Charbonnet, the team's second leading rusher, missed practice all of last week with a hamstring injury that prevented him from playing on Sunday. Fellow rookie running back Kenny McIntosh has been unavailable since August as he was dealing with a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve but made his return to the practice field on Wednesday afternoon. "It's like a brand-new toy, really just seeing him in the walkthrough just a bit ago, just to get him back with us," said head coach Pete Carroll when asked about McIntosh. "He's been hanging for such a long time. That's one of the guys that uplifts us that he's back out there." Both players were limited in Wednesday's practice.

The team also seems to be getting healthier on the offensive line as guard Anthony Bradford, guard Damien Lewis and tackle Jake Curhan were full participants in practice. Evan Brown, who missed the Week 7 contest with a hip injury, practiced in a limited capacity today. Guard Phil Haynes is still dealing with a calf issue that kept him from practicing on Wednesday.

A couple of key playmakers on the offensive side of the ball were held out of practice as Tyler Lockett (hamstring) and Kenneth Walker III (calf) didn't practice to start the week. Lockett was limited in practice last Wednesday and Thursday and missed Friday's practice but played against Arizona and made it through the game without any setbacks.

Defensive lineman Jarran Reed and Dre'Mont Jones, as well as safety Jamal Adams were held out of practice today for rest but are expected to play on Sunday. Bobby Wagner also missed practice with an ankle injury but should be ready to go for Week 8.

The defense took a massive blow this week as linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a pectoral injury that he suffered in the win over Arizona. "Uchenna (Nwosu) is going to get surgery and that will be season ending for him," said coach Carroll.

The Cleveland Browns are dealing with a long list of injuries, most notably quarterback Deshaun Watson who is expected to be unavailable on Sunday due to a shoulder injury. That would mean that backup quarterback P.J. Walker is in line to start in Seattle. Some of the top playmakers on the offensive side of ball also missed practice as wide receivers Amari Cooper (NIR-Rest/ankle) and former Seahawk Marquise Goodwin (back) missed Wednesday's practice. Also, running backs Jerome Ford (ankle) and Kareem Hunt (thigh) were unavailable for practice.
