Friday's Injury Report

Friday's injury report does not include Jamal Adams for the first time since he hurt in groin in Week 3, which means the All-Pro safety is good to go for Sunday's game against the Bills.

In less positive news, the Seahawks ruled out six payers ahead of their flight to Buffalo, all of whom missed last week's game due to injuries: running back Chris Carson (foot), left guard Mike Iupati (back), defensive end Benson Mayowa (ankle), cornerback Shaquill Griffin (concussion/hamstring), running back Carlos Hyde (hamstring) and defensive back Ugo Amadi (hamstring).

While those players will be out again, the Seahawks are a bit deeper in a couple of those spots than they were last week. Most notably, the Seahawk will have Carlos Dunlap available at defensive end after acquiring the former Pro-Bowl pass-rusher in a trade last week. The Seahawks also could activate Rasheem Green, who returned to practice last week off of injured reserve to add more depth at defensive end. And at running back, Travis Homer, who was active last week but played sparingly due to a knee bruise, is healthier and should be able to play more. The Seahawks also added veteran back Alex Collins to the practice squad this week, so he could be elevated for the game as well.

The Bills had five players ruled out on Friday's injury report, including three starters: center Mitch Morse, linebacker Matt Milano and cornerback Josh Norman.

Seven players were held out on Thursday, however, including four starters, running back Chris Carson, defensive end Benson Mayowa, guard Mike Iupati, cornerback Shaquill Griffin, and nickel defensive back Ugo Amadi. Receiver David Moore was new to the injury report Thursday, sitting out with ankle and back injuries.

Safety Jamal Adams practice again, albeit on a limited basis, and appears to still be on track to make his return this week after a four-game absence.

Wednesday's Injury Report

Like most Wednesdays this season, the Seahawks entered the week with some reasons for optimism despite a rather lengthy injury report. For starters, after missing four games with a groin injury, Pro-Bowl safety Jamal Adams was given the "full-go" from head coach Pete Carroll during a press conference on Wednesday. The team was hoping to see Adams back on the field during last week's game against the 49ers, but a mid-week illness ultimately foiled those plans. While he was listed on today's report as a limited participant, all signs point to the Seahawks getting an important piece of their defense back.

Meanwhile, the status for another Pro Bowler in the secondary is still to be determined. Cornerback Shaquill Griffin missed Sunday's game vs. the 49ers with a concussion and hamstring injury. He is expected to be cleared from the concussion protocol, but the hamstring will need to continue to be monitored. "I don't know about him yet," Carroll said. "We've got to take it later into the week."

The running back position is another area where depth has been tested recently. The Seahawks played last week with only two active running backs, one of which (Travis Homer) was dealing with a bruised knee. Wednesday's report included all four backs, with Chris Carson (foot), Carlos Hyde (hamstring) and Travis Homer (knee) all held out. DeeJay Dallas was a full participant, though he was listed with an arm/wrist injury. The team plans to have Carson continue resting his foot until later this week, waiting until at least Friday to test it out. Carroll sounded less hopeful with Hyde. "We'll see Chris on Friday and see how he looks," Carroll said. "We're going to give him until Friday to see what we can find out. It doesn't look like Carlos is going to make it. We've got to take care of the hamstring." The Seahawks added 2016 fifth-round pick Alex Collin to the practice squad earlier today to help address the running back depth.
