Wild Card Week Injury Report: Seahawks at 49ers

Details on the Seahawks’ injury situation heading into their Wild Card playoff game against the 49ers, including game status designations.

Four Seahawks Questionable For Wild Card Game vs. 49ers, Ryan Neal Ready To Go

The Seahawks have four players listed as questionable on the injury report ahead of their Wild Card game in Santa Clara: guard Phil Haynes, running back DeeJay Dallas, cornerback Xavier Crawford and defensive end Shelby Harris.

But while there's some question about the status of those four, everyone else on the roster should be good to go, including safety Ryan Neal, who does not have a game status designation. Neal has missed the last three games with a knee injury, and his return would provide a nice boost for the defense as it prepares for a big challenge in the form of Kyle Shanahan's 49ers offense.

Running back Kenneth Walker III is also good to go, as expected, despite sitting out Wednesday's practice as part of his regular maintenance for the ankle injury he suffered in Week 13.

Wednesday's Practice Report

The Seahawks held seven players out of Wednesday's practice, though two—nose tackle Al Woods and right guard Gabe Jackson—were listed as rest days, and while running back Kenneth Walker III is listed with an ankle injury, he has regularly been getting days off while still playing in games since returning from his injury last month.

Also not practicing Wednesday were guard Phil Haynes, who missed last week's game with an ankle injury, defensive end Shelby Harris (knee), who left last week's game but was able to quickly return, running back DeeJay Dallas, who picked up a quadricep injury in Sunday's game, and cornerback Xavier Crawford (hamstring).

Safety Ryan Neal was listed as limited for the second straight day, indicating he has a decent shot to get back after missing the past three games with a knee injury. Tight end Noah Fant (knee) was also limited after not practicing Tuesday.

Tuesday's Practice Report

With a Saturday playoff game coming up, the Seahawks kicked off their practice week a day early, albeit with a walkthrough practice rather than the usual full-speed practice. Because Tuesday's practice was a walkthrough, the first injury report of is an estimation of participation had Seattle held a full practice.

Five players are listed as non-participants for Tuesday, including guard Phil Haynes, who missed last weekend's game with an ankle injury, and running back DeeJay Dallas (ankle/quadriceps) and defensive end Shelby Harris (knee), both of whom picked up injuries in Sunday's win over the Rams but were able to continue playing.

Tight end Noah Fant was also a non-participant with a knee injury, though it's worth noting he has been on the injury report with a knee injury for the past three weeks and it has not affected his availability on gameday.

In a bit of encouraging news, safety Ryan Neal, who missed the final three games of the regular season with a knee injury, was listed as a limited participant. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said that Neal "feels much better" during his press conference prior to Tuesday's practice.

Among those listed as full participants are Tyler Lockett, who was limited last week by a leg injury, running back Kenneth Walker III, who has had his workload limited for the past few weeks due to an ankle injury, and cornerback Tariq Woolen, who briefly left last weekend's game with an ankle injury before quickly returning.
