Friday Injury Report

The Seahawks have listed two players out, two doubtful and five as questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Miami Dolphins. Linebacker Uchenna Nwosu has been ruled out for Week 3 as he has been unable to return to practice since sustaining an injury in the final game of the preseason. Tackle George Fant left the Week 1 win over the Broncos with a knee injury that has kept him out ever since. Fant was unable to play in New England and has been downgraded to out for the upcoming matchup with the Dolphins.

Two starters are listed as doubtful including running back Kenneth Walker III. Walker had a strong performance in the season opener before exiting late in the game with an oblique injury. The third year back returned to practice in a limited capacity on Friday but is in danger of missing his second consecutive game. "It's not looking great right now for the game with Ken Walker but he's working his tail off and getting better," said head coach Mike Macdonald on Friday afternoon.

Also doubtful for Week 3 is inside linebacker Jerome Baker. Baker, a free agent acquisition who played for Miami each of the last six seasons, had been dealing with a hamstring injury throughout offseason workouts and training camp. He started in the team's first two games of the season but left the game in Week 2 and did not return. "Bake is working his butt off. He tried to really give it a go, but it doesn't look good right now," said coach Macdonald. "Everything is going well, it's just probably not good enough at this point"

Boye Mafe is one of the five Seahawks players questionable for Sunday as he is working his way back from a knee injury he suffered late in the overtime win over the Patriots. "He is trending positively, he looked good today," said coach Macdonald when asked about Mafe. "We'll monitor him over the next couple of days, but it looked good with Boye." Tight end Pharaoh Brown has yet to make his Seahawks' debut as he has been dealing with a foot injury since training camp but is making progress towards returning to game action. Wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. is also suffering from a foot injury and is questionable to play on Sunday after missing practice on Friday.

A number of starters on defense including Jarran Reed, Leonard Williams, Devon Witherspoon and Tyrel Dodson were listed on the injury report throughout the week but fully participated in practice on Friday and are not listed with game status designations so they will be available on Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins also listed one player out for Sunday as wide receiver Grant DuBose will sit out due to a shoulder injury. Speedy running back Raheem Mostert is doubtful for their trip to Seattle because of a chest injury.

Thursday Injury Report

The Seahawks only had five players miss practice on Thursday after missing nine in the first practice of the week. Among the players who sat out Thursday was running back Kenneth Walker III who has been dealing with an oblique injury since the 4th quarter of the Week 1 win over the Broncos. Walker hasn't been able to practice since getting hurt and sat out the Week 2 overtime win over the Patriots. Linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is another player that hasn't been able to practice as he is still working his way back from a knee injury he had in the preseason finale. Two veteran interior defensive linemen, Jarran Reed and Johnathan Hankins, didn't practice for resting purposes. Reed was listed on the injury report as full participant with a knee injury on Wednesday and was given the day off on Thursday.

There were 10 players limited in today's practice including linebackers Jerome Baker, Boye Mafe and Derick Hall. Both Baker and Mafe left the Week 2 win over the Patriots with lower body injuries and were unable to return. They were able to return to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday afternoon after being held out on Wednesday. Also returning to practice on Thursday was defensive lineman Leonard Williams who sat out to start the week. He was listed with a knee injury on Wednesday and is now listed with a knee and shin injury but was still able to participate in practice. Three of the four tight ends on the active roster were limited as Noah Fant, Pharaoh Brown and Brady Russell are trying to work through injuries. Brown has been limited in back-to-back days which is a good sign that he is getting closer to making his Seahawks' debut. Tackle George Fant also was limited for the second consecutive day after being held out all of last week with a knee injury.

In good news, wide receiver DK Metcalf fully participated on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday afternoon with a hand injury. After getting the day off Wednesday for resting purposes, guard Laken Tomlinson full participated in the second practice of the week.

The Dolphins' left tackle Terron Armstead returned to practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's with a shoulder/knee injury. With offensive linemen Liam Eichenberg and Rob Jones fully participating, Miami's offensive is getting closer to 100% for their trip to Seattle.

Wednesday Injury Report

The Seahawks practiced without eight players due to injury and one player for resting purposes as they began their preparation for Week 3 vs. the Dolphins. There were four offensive players and five defensive players that were unable to participate in the team's first practice of the week. Among the offensive players missing from practice was running back Kenneth Walker III who hasn't practiced since injuring his oblique in the Week 1 win over the Broncos. DK Metcalf is coming off of a team high of 129 receiving yards and one touchdown in the overtime win over the Patriots last week but is now dealing with a hand injury the kept him out of practice on Wednesday. Tight end Brady Russell and guard Laken Tomlinson did not practice as Russell has a shoulder injury and Tomlinson was given the day off to rest.

The defense is dealing with injuries to some of its key players as five of them were held out of practice to start the week. Three linebackers, Jerome Baker, Uchenna Nwosu and Boye Mafe are dealing with lower body injuries that forced them to sit out Wednesday. Baker and Mafe exited the win over the Patriots and were unable to finish the game. Baker had been dealing with a hamstring issue that limited him in practice throughout last week and reaggravated the injury in Foxborough. Mafe was healthy heading into Week 3 but sustained a knee injury late in the 4th quarter and couldn't return to the game despite his best efforts. Leonard Williams was another important player on the defensive front that couldn't practice as he is dealing with a knee injury.

There were six players that were limited on Wednesday including wide receiver Tyler Lockett. The ten-year veteran has been consistently limited in practice to start the season but has been able to make an impact in each of the first two weeks. Tackle George Fant is working his way back after suffering a knee injury in Week 1 that prevented him from playing against New England. Fant was limited in practice on Wednesday which is a good sign that he is making progress towards returning to game action. Two more tight ends are trying to work through injuries as Pharaoh Brown (foot) and Noah Fant (toe) were limited. Brown has dealing with a foot injury since training camp and has yet to make his Seahawks' debut. Devon Witherspoon is listed on the injury report as a limited participant due to a hamstring injury.

The Miami Dolphins' injury report was lighter than the Seahawks as they only had two players who missed practice on Wednesday. Left tackle Terron Armstead was held out due to a shoulder injury while Calais Campbell was given the day off for rest.
